Oil Paintings

Several oil paintings are on display in the library, including 17th century paintings of the Cape of Good Hope and works by Thomas Baines and Frederick Timpson I’Ons.

Mineral Exhibit

The Library houses a permanent exhibit of 35 museum-quality geological specimens. The collection was assembled in Switzerland and presented as a gift to H F Oppenheimer.

The Bridge

Dominating the reception area of the library is a large, six-piece mural which was commissioned by H F Oppenheimer from the Australian artist, Leonard French.
