THE BRENTHURST LIBRARY

The Brenthurst Library is responsible for acquiring, managing and preserving the collection which consists of manuscripts, artworks, rare books, pamphlets and maps relating to southern Africa.  The Library is open to researchers and visitors by appointment.  It has an ongoing exhibition programme and lends manuscripts and artworks to exhibitions and venues around South Africa. Knowledge of interesting collections is extended to a wider audience through the publications of The Brenthurst Press.  The Library oversees the preservation and enhancement of the collection in a well-equipped Bindery.
